A few months ago, I wished to nominate someone whom I've always thought to be a great editor and contributor. I'm sad to see he has not accepted the nomination after all this time. He reasons were good enough for me, to decline. I put the page up for speedy, and this was declined too (even though no one else should have been editing the RfA). here is the discussion on MER-C's talk page. I'd assume this was a non controversial speedy as house cleaning. I'll be leaving a note about this on MER-C's talk page (mind you, this is not to instill pressure to reconsider either).
